At UPUN, we value a positive and respectful community experience. Players have the ability to report materials or behavior that violates our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or other platform policies. The Report feature ensures that any inappropriate materials or activity is addressed in a timely and fair manner.

The Legal & Compliance section is designed to provide clear information about the rights, responsibilities, and policies that govern the use of UPUN. Our goal is to ensure that all Players, Creators, and Viewers understand the legal framework that supports their engagement with the platform, while also protecting UPUN as a community where creativity and collaboration can thrive responsibly.

UPUN's Creations encompass a wide variety of media types, providing Players with multiple avenues for expression and storytelling. These Creations consist of Videos, Audio, Galleries, Books, Interactives, and Playlists. Each entity contributes to the platform’s rich content ecosystem, allowing Players to engage in meaningful experiences. Unlike Products, which are typically reserved for Player profiles and the Shop, Creations can be found throughout the app, offering diverse forms of engagement.

Love is the virtual currency of UPUN, serving as the primary means of conducting microtransactions across the platform. Whether you're purchasing digital items, booking services, or completing quests, Love enables Players to engage with UPUN's economy in meaningful ways. It is a vital part of the platform, offering Players flexibility in transactions and access to various content and services.

The Help Center enlists several policies that outline what is and isn't allowed on UPUN. These policies were created to ensure a safe, respectful, and trustworthy environment for everyone that use the platform.

UPUN is committed to a fair and transparent process for handling Reports. This policy outlines how Reports are managed, prioritized, and resolved.

Playlists allow Players to curate collections of Creations, offering a dynamic way to experience and engage with content. However, Playlists must adhere to UPUN’s Community Guidelines and cannot be used to artificially inflate metrics or serve inappropriate content. This policy outlines the proper use of Playlists and the consequences for violations.

Copyright refers to the legal protection granted to the owner of intellectual property (IP), giving them exclusive rights to copy, distribute, perform, and create derivative works of their material for a limited period. UPUN recognizes the rights of copyright owners and will act on any valid requests concerning infringing materials.

UPUN aims to provide a transparent and fair refund process for all Players. While we strive to ensure that every transaction on the platform is final, we understand that certain circumstances may warrant a refund. This policy outlines when and how refunds may be processed for purchases made with Love or other transactions on UPUN.

At UPUN, we believe in fostering a secure and respectful environment for all Players. Our platform is a diverse community encompassing Players of all demographics—young and old, left and right, right and wrong. As such, we stand by our commitment to maintaining a space where fairness, privacy, security, and data integrity are prioritized for everyone.

UPUN allows Players to deactivate their accounts if they choose to leave the platform. This policy outlines the steps involved in the account deactivation process, what will happen to the Player’s data, and the timeframe for reversing the decision.

UPUN provides Players with the ability to create and share original Creations, Products, and Groups. As part of our commitment to fostering creativity and collaboration, we recognize that there may be situations where the ownership of content may need to be transferred between Players. This policy outlines the rules and procedures for transferring ownership of content on UPUN while ensuring transparency and protecting the rights of all parties involved.

At UPUN, we believe that every idea has a right to exist, to be promoted, and to be heard. We strive to create an environment where ideas can be respected equally by those who support and those who oppose them. This platform fosters respectful engagement, where Players contribute their content, talents, services, and dreams toward building a progressive future.

Artificially Generated Content (AGC) is allowed on UPUN, and is treated similar to User Generated Content.

Players on UPUN have the option to reset their account, which allows them to start fresh while retaining certain key elements of their progress. This policy outlines how account resets work, what data is affected, and the limitations of this process.

Consumables are valuable resources on UPUN that allow Players to enhance their gameplay experience by boosting their attributes when resources run low. These items are conveniently accessible from the footer of the app, next to the Player's PassPort, which displays current attribute levels. Whether purchased or earned, Consumables offer a quick way to replenish attributes, prolong engagement, and maintain competitive momentum.

User Generated Content (UGC) is media content created and published by the Players of UPUN. Creations (Video, Audio, Gallery, Book, Interactive, Playlist), Products (Service, Item, Quest), and Groups (Union, Brand, Playground) all contain UGC within their contents, and are considered materials that should be developed with our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service in mind.

Players on UPUN have the option to apply an All Rights Reserved license to their Creations to protect their original content from unauthorized use or distribution. This policy outlines how the All Rights Reserved license functions on UPUN and the responsibilities Players have when applying this license.

Experiences are created when Players interact with Creations, Products, or Group activities and events on UPUN. Each Experience forms part of a comprehensive history of engagement that contributes to a Player's progression and overall LVL. These Experiences are used to justify Player levels by generating Experience Reports and Experience Reviews, which aggregate data on individual activities.

Attributes are key metrics that define a Player's progress, engagement, and interactions on UPUN. These attributes influence how Players interact with content, participate in the app's economy, and measure their contributions.

UPUN is an untold story, crafted by the collective minds of our community—a testament to the power of Mass Consciousness. While a project like this may have been attempted before, it’s never looked quite this good. It’s our collective responsibility to ensure that it stays that way. The story may take many shapes: it could get ugly, scary, lovely, or even boring. But it will be our story, and we owe it to ourselves to ensure it’s done right.

UPUN's Products consist of three key entities—Services, Items, and Quests—each contributing to the dynamic economy of the platform. Whether you are a Player, Buyer, Vendor, or Freelancer, Products offer numerous opportunities to profit, collaborate, and enhance the UPUN experience. These Products form the backbone of UPUN’s Shop, fostering a rich environment for creativity, commerce, and community engagement.

UPUN defines "Materials" as digital content that a Player may upload or submit to UPUN for publishing. This can be video, image, audio, text, arrangements (Playlists), comments, messages, and deliverables from the purchase or fulfillment of a Product. Materials may also refer to Creations, Products, Groups, Profile Data, and Communication Activity such as comments or messages which all contain various form of material within their contents. Players whom upload, submit, and/or publish materials are responsible for those materials, and said materials are subject to our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

Moderators play an essential role in maintaining the fairness, balance, and safety of the UPUN community. By overseeing community interactions, Moderators ensure that Players have a positive experience on the platform. This policy outlines how Moderators are recruited, their responsibilities, tools, and the consequences for misuse of their authority.

Respecting the intellectual property (IP) rights of others is essential to maintaining trust within our community and safeguarding the integrity of creative work. Players are required to respect both the UPUN community and the broader internet by adhering to the Terms of Service of other platforms and companies when using third-party elements.

Skills are key attributes that enhance your overall gameplay and account capabilities. These skills modify various attributes and can be upgraded by using Skill Bytes, a special resource that Players accumulate throughout their experience.

Players have the right to appeal a decision made on a Report if they believe the resolution was unfair or incorrect. This policy outlines the process for submitting an appeal and the consequences of repeated or baseless appeals.

Experiences are interactive events initiated by engaging with a Creation, Product, or Group activity. These Experiences require Players to invest resources to participate and, in return, offer various rewards upon completion.

Upgrades play a crucial role in enhancing both the rewards and complexity of an Experience. By applying an Upgrade, Players can modify key aspects of their gameplay, affecting the flow of play and introducing new strategic elements. Upgrades influence Player attributes, alter Rewards, and may even apply Status Effect Penalties that impact how Players interact with Creations, Products, and Groups.

UPUN offers Players the ability to apply Creative Commons licenses to their Creations, enabling greater flexibility in how content can be shared, reused, and adapted by others. By using Creative Commons licenses, Players can promote collaboration while maintaining control over how their work is used. Each Creative Commons license is defined by specific properties, which set the terms for the content’s use.

Creations, Products, and Groups may be restricted if they contain materials featuring sexual, sensitive, mature themes, or unrealistic content. While restricted materials can still be viewed, they will not be recommended to Young Players or Players who have opted out of viewing restricted content. A Restriction Penalty will be applied whenever a material is restricted voluntarily or involuntarily.

A penalty on UPUN is a consequence applied to a Player’s account or content in response to violations of platform policies, misuse of resources, or repeated undesirable behavior. Penalties affect not only the visibility and accessibility of Creations, Products, and Groups, but also directly modify Player attributes such as HP, NRG, XP, and even Polarity.

UPUN aims to maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all Players. To achieve this, we have established guidelines for communication activities to ensure that interactions on the platform are both secure and respectful. This policy covers all forms of communication, including messaging, comments, reviews, and interactions within Creations, Products, or Groups.

UPUN allows Players to purchase digital Items, Services, and complete Quests, which often include deliverables that can be downloaded and used for future developments or creative endeavors. This policy outlines the terms for the Personal Use of those deliverables and the conditions for upgrading licenses.

UPUN encourages the publication of EDSA Creations, which provide valuable content for educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic purposes. If a recommendation is received from a Mod or Admin, the Creation is granted an EDSA Upgrade, removing the Restriction Penalty and increasing the XP output by 100%.

UPUN is dedicated to maintaining a safe and fair platform for all Players. This policy outlines how we handle cases of suspected fraud, exploitation, or abuse of the platform’s systems.

Player Stats offer a comprehensive view of your progress and engagement within the platform. These Stats are publicly displayed on your profile and are used to track various metrics, personal achievements, and trigger Milestones based on your performance and activities.
