Hate Speech

UPUN prohibits any Creations, Products, Groups, or Communication Activities that promote violence or hatred against individuals or groups based on their protected group status. Hate speech undermines the values of inclusivity and respect on UPUN, and such behavior will not be tolerated. Violations of this policy may result in the removal of offending materials and/or the penalization, suspension, or termination of the Player’s account. In severe cases, UPUN will report the situation to federal or local law enforcement. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, please contact your local law enforcement agency immediately.

Protected Group Status

Hate speech targeting individuals or groups based on the following attributes is prohibited:

• Age

• Caste

• Disability

• Ethnicity

• Gender Identity and Expression

• Nationality

• Race

• Immigration Status

• Religion

• Sex/Gender

• Sexual Orientation

• Victims of a major violent event and their kin

• Veteran Status

Prohibited Activities

The following behaviors are not allowed on UPUN and are considered violations of the Hate Speech Policy:

• Encouraging Violence: Do NOT publish material that encourages violence against individuals or groups based on their protected group status. This includes direct threats as well as implied calls for violence, which will be treated as real threats.

• Inciting Hatred: Do NOT publish material that incites or encourages hatred against individuals or groups based on their protected group status. Content that demeans, humiliates, or spreads harmful stereotypes is prohibited.

Consequences for Violating this Policy

Violating the Hate Speech Policy may result in:

• Removal of offending materials.

• Penalization, suspension, or termination of the Player’s account, depending on the severity of the violation.

• In severe cases, UPUN will report the violation to law enforcement agencies.
