UPUN strictly prohibits the use of external links that direct Players to sites or materials that violate our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service. This policy ensures that external links do not expose Players to harmful, deceptive, or illegal content. Violations of this policy will result in the removal of offending materials and may lead to penalties, including suspension or termination of the Player’s account.

Prohibited External Links

Players are not permitted to include external links within Creations, Products, Groups, messages, or comments that direct others to any of the following:

• Pornography: Links to adult content or pornography are strictly prohibited.

• Malware: Links to sites or apps that install malware or harmful software on Players’ devices.

• Phishing Sites: Links to sites designed to steal personal information or commit fraud.

• Unauthorized Access: Links to sites or apps that offer unauthorized access to paid content, including audio, video games, software, or streaming services.

• Terrorist Organizations: Links to sites or apps that seek to raise funds or recruit for terrorist organizations.

• Child Sexual Abuse Imagery (CSAI): Any links to sites containing CSAI will lead to immediate action.

• Regulated Goods: Links to sites selling regulated goods or services that violate UPUN’s regulated goods policy (link to Regulated Goods Policy).

• Hate or Harassment: Links to content that violates UPUN’s hate speech or harassment policies (link to Hate/Harassment Policy).

• Encouraging Violence: Links to content that promotes or encourages violent acts.

• Misinformation: Links spreading medical misinformation that contradicts official health authorities, such as COVID-19 misinformation.

• Misleading Content: Links spreading misleading or deceptive content that could cause serious risk or harm.

• Violent Attackers: Links to content featuring violent attackers or harmful individuals.

Formats of External Links

External links can take many forms, and Players should avoid using any format to direct others to prohibited sites, including:

• Clickable URLs: Direct links to external websites.

• Obfuscated URLs: Using text like “dot com” instead of “.com” to hide links.

• Text in Media: Displaying URLs in videos or images.

• Verbal Instructions: Telling others to visit profiles or pages on other sites that contain violative content.

Affiliate Content

Affiliate links are allowed on UPUN as long as they comply with our Terms of Service. However, excessive publication of affiliate content or links may violate our Spam Policy (link to Spam Policy). Please ensure that affiliate content is shared responsibly and does not interfere with the Player experience.

Consequences for Violating the Policy

Any Player found violating the External Links Policy may face the following actions:

• Removal of the offending materials.

• Penalization of the Player’s account, which may include suspension or termination depending on the severity of the violation.
