Content Ownership Transfer

UPUN provides Players with the ability to create and share original Creations, Products, and Groups. As part of our commitment to fostering creativity and collaboration, we recognize that there may be situations where the ownership of content may need to be transferred between Players. This policy outlines the rules and procedures for transferring ownership of content on UPUN while ensuring transparency and protecting the rights of all parties involved.

Availability

Ownership transfers are performed using "COOPER", found in the MANAGER. However, cooperative functionalities are yet not available on UPUN.

Eligibility for Content Ownership Transfer

Ownership transfers are allowed for certain types of content, including:

• Creations: Videos, audio, galleries, books, interactive content, and other media that can be transferred to another Player.

• Products: Digital items, services, or Quests that can be reassigned to a new owner.

• Groups: Control over Groups, Unions, Brands, or Playgrounds can be transferred to another Player or set of Players.

Ownership transfers must comply with all of UPUN’s policies, including those concerning intellectual property and content integrity. UPUN reserves the right to deny transfers in cases where it suspects fraud, misuse, or violations of platform policies.

Procedure for Ownership Transfer

1. Initiation of Transfer:

   • The original owner (Creator) must initiate the transfer request through their account settings by providing the necessary details for the transfer.

   • Both parties (current owner and recipient) must agree to the transfer, and the recipient must acknowledge they are assuming full responsibility for the content.

2. Verification:

   • UPUN will verify the legitimacy of the transfer by confirming that both parties have agreed to the transaction. Ownership transfers involving high-value Creations or Products may require additional verification to prevent fraud.

3. Completion of Transfer:

   • Once verified, ownership of the content will be reassigned to the new owner, who will have full control over the content, including any associated rights, responsibilities, and future modifications.

   • The original Creator will relinquish all rights to the content unless otherwise agreed upon in a contractual arrangement.

4. Notification:

   • Both the original owner and the recipient will receive a notification confirming the successful completion of the transfer.

Conditions and Limitations

• Non-Refundable: Content ownership transfers are final and non-reversible. Once a transfer is completed, it cannot be undone unless both parties agree to reverse the transaction, pending UPUN’s approval.

• Intellectual Property Compliance: The recipient of the content assumes all responsibility for ensuring that the content complies with UPUN’s intellectual property policies, including copyrights and licensing agreements.

• Restricted Content: Content that has been restricted or penalized (e.g., due to policy violations) may not be eligible for transfer until any outstanding issues are resolved.

• Profit Sharing and Royalties: If the content generates revenue (e.g., through sales of Products or Creations), it is the responsibility of both parties to negotiate any profit-sharing or royalty arrangements independently. UPUN does not mediate financial arrangements between Players.

Violations and Penalties

Players who attempt to transfer ownership of content in bad faith, or in violation of UPUN’s policies, may face penalties including suspension or termination of their account. Fraudulent transfers or attempts to circumvent platform rules will not be tolerated.
