Moderator

Moderators play an essential role in maintaining the fairness, balance, and safety of the UPUN community. By overseeing community interactions, Moderators ensure that Players have a positive experience on the platform. This policy outlines how Moderators are recruited, their responsibilities, tools, and the consequences for misuse of their authority.

Moderator Eligibility and Recruitment

• After reaching Level 50, any Player with a clean record (no history of violations) and attains a score of 80% or higher on the "Examination of Policy Enforcement" is eligible for Moderator Certification.

• Moderators receive a special badge similar to verification badges, which will display their rank publicly on their profile and in interactions.

Role of Moderators

The role of a Moderator is to help establish a safe and appropriate environment by actively investigating and removing policy infringing material, reporting potential violations, and enforcing penalties for violations.

Moderator Tools

To assist with their tasks, Moderators gain access to "MASTER", a moderation dashboard. Mods will be able to search, filter, report, and flag Creations, Comments, and Players, regardless of privacy status or visibility, escalate high priority violations directly to a Grand Mod or Admin for review, and keep up-to-date with policy changes or relevant feature updates.

Grand Moderators

Grand Mods are supervisory moderators who oversee the efficiency, ethics, and behavior of the moderation community. They have privileges similar to Admins and may remove moderation privileges from Mods who abuse their authority. Grand Mods also provide incentives to Mods by fostering a fair and just moderation system.

Losing Moderator Privileges

Moderators may have their privileges suspended for the following reasons:

• Abusing Authority: Using moderation powers for personal gain or revenge, violating UPUN’s TOS or Community Guidelines, or exploiting the platform’s gameplay or economy.

• Poor Performance: Submitting faulty, indirect, or wrongful violations that get reversed.

• Account Misuse: Selling, transferring, or offering moderation services to others, or allowing someone else to essentially use their Mod account.

• Other Violations: Any other actions that disrupt the balance or integrity of the moderation community.

Mods who have their privileges suspended are not allowed to reapply, but they may appeal the violation for review.

Moderators are critical to maintaining the integrity of UPUN’s community. They serve as support entities, ensuring that Players follow the Community Guidelines and that any content that does not belong on the platform is removed. By acting responsibly and upholding the values of the platform, Mods play an essential role in creating a positive and balanced Player experience.
